Natural Rose Incense Sticks

Long considered the most beautiful flower in the world, the rose has been a focal point for a massive amount of stories, legends, myths and legacies, captivating the hearts of countless artists, poets and musicians. A worldwide symbol of beauty and love, no other flower can compete with the ancient allure of a perfect rose.

Every part as gorgeous and distinctive as the flowers velvety petals, is the fragrance. Perhaps the single most popular scent in perfume, pure natural rose is indescribably vibrant and syrupy sweet, with warming and distinctive fresh floral highs.

With 500lbs of fresh petals going into every 100ml of essential oil, to call pure rose incense luxurious is an understatement. One of the most ancient incense ingredients and an incredibly popular fragrance all round, a true rose incense is warming, distinctive and overflowing with fresh floral highs.

The Benefits of Rose Incense
There are quite a few benefits to both the burning of all-natural incense and the inhalation of various essential oils, from reducing stress and aiding sleep, to increased productivity and even a strengthened immune system. The following benefits are only true for 100% natural incense. Unfortunately, few people every truly get to experience this, with the vast majority of rose products either a rose and geranium mixture or synthetic scent. For a more extensive list of all-natural incense benefits, have a look out our page on the benefits of natural incense.

01 - Certain fragrances trigger a response from our limbic system, a complex system of nerves and networks in the brain strongly associated with mood, causing it to release serotonin. Serotonin is a chemical our bodies naturally produce, with higher levels linked to lower blood pressure and a balanced mood, and lower levels linked with depression and diabetes. Serotonin is also a natural, albeit mild, painkiller, suggesting that scents could be useful for lesser ailments, such as headaches.

02 - Monks and yogis have burned incense, wood chips and petals during their meditation for thousands of years, so as to help them clear the mind and improve concentration. Increased levels of focus directly correlate with increased productivity. The burning of livelier floral scents such as rose and jasmine have been found to be the best for this and are ideal for working, studying and similar activities.

03 - A study published in 2004 showed that the inhalation of rose oil was found to drastically reduce the production and release of stress hormones, such as cortisol, which can have a very damaging effect on the body and mind. This further results in the relieving of built up tension in muscles, diminishing overall anxiety.

Our All-Natural Rose Incense

We gather our incense base ingredients, which are made up primarily of pure bamboo charcoal, sandalwood powder and vanilla powder, along with various resins, and we grind them all up together. When the mixture is the right consistency, we carefully pour in the pure rose oil and hand-knead it all together. Then we take our bamboo sticks and gently roll the mixture around them. Sometimes we'll finish the batch off with a gentle dusting of an organic dye for a little colour. The sticks are left to dry and packaged away, ready to be shipped all around the world. We don't use any fancy machines, just very simple tools to bring you an artisanal product, made just how it was hundreds of years ago.
